The course's main goal is to help Opera students and singers to get in touch with Italian Opera. This course would like to facilitate the reading of Opera librettos in Italian and provide the instruments for a better interpretation of texts.

As there is a wide gap between the Italian language for communication and melodrama, that employs specific stylistic features, the lessons dedicates to the analysis of librettos will be associated to a course of Italian communication.
